Grade II listed house with expansive and stunning entertaining area


“Space Station’s stock is always different to everyone else’s”…

City financier, Riccardo Borsi, owned his five floor, Grade II listed Georgian house in Spitalfields for 13 years. The stunning 4,520 sq ft building fizzes with history and jaw-dropping features, so Riccardo knew he would need a different type of agent when it came to selling. He started looking for someone that understood extraordinary properties and valued them for reasons beyond square footage and location.

“Space Station’s stock is always different to everyone else’s,” explains Riccardo. “But it was a recommendation from the architect Chris Dyson – a friend of a friend – that convinced me to get in touch.”

Space Station was amazed by the history of the building – originally built in 1705 by the brewer, Joseph Truman, the house had also been home to famous silk merchants, the Gandy family (1826-1850).

More recently, Riccardo spent two years completely refurbishing the property, including the installation of a magnificent 65 ft entertainment room in the basement – complete with vaulted skylights and doors leading to a garden.

The entire house is spread over 4,520 sq ft, which is one of the largest we’ve seen on the market in that area. We knew it would need a very special buyer to take it up.
